US Airways Flight 1549 took off from La Guardia Airport on January 15, 2009 and collided with a flock of geese, causing both engines to fail. Successfully ditched in the Hudson River, all 155 aboard were rescued safely. N106US is now to be preserved in the Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, North Carolina.
