A bit surprised to see that photo of the Beaver because that is me hanging onto the prop. The picture was taken at Misawa, Japan in about 1967 or 68. I flew it all over Japan and loved every hour. I have a lot of additional photos of the Beaver. After I left Japan (went to Okinawa) I heard it got dumped into a rice paddy. In 1975 I ended up in the ROK/US group in Uijongbu, Korea. There was a gutted Beaver with no paint on display in front of the Education office at Camp Red Cloud. I always felt it was easier to get forgiveness than permission, I climbed inside for old times sake. I thought it strange that someone else chose the area above the throttle quadrant to put the ADF indicator. Then I noticed the call sign on the panel above all the empty holes - N1102T. It felt like old home week.
