Ex USAF 44-76842. To RAF as Dakota IV KN559. Returned to USAAF Nov 27, 1947. To AP-ADA, F-OAQA, G-AOAL. To Burma AF (UBT-712, 5712). Sold in 1978 to Nevada Airlines as N2271D and converted to silver iodide dropper for cloud-seeding and used by PMC Associated Co, Ltd in Burma from 1980-83. During this period it was owned by Air Mod Inc (San Marcus, CA), Gerard Charpentier t/a ComAvia Co (Oceanside, CA) or Mana Veerathanongdech (Oakland, CA). Ownership was transferred between these three until finally settling with Miss Panida Veerathannongdech (Sausalito, CA) in Aug 1984. Sold to H. J. Hanson of Seattle, WA in 1991. Sold to Airlease Ltd of Burns, OR in 2000. Reported Apr 2008 to be dismantled at Ongkarak, Thailand.
