This A/C was owned and operated by the LA Sheriff's Department for most of its life. Many a prisoner, really bad guys, were transported in the plane, I know, I was one of the pilots.

N3718D appeared in an episode of Emergency (2/19/72 - brushfire). The AC was shown to be circling over a large fire, searching for a motorcycle accident victim in a nearby canyon (the motorcycle rider is Tony Dow who played Wally on Leave it to Beaver). The AC is shown in 7 or 8 shots both long and close up, the N-number is clearly visible.
