My father owned this plane when he passed away in June 1972. We later sold it and I have never seen it until now. It was red and white back then. Is it true once a plane has a number it stays with it for life? *** The number on our plane was N3937M. We live in Viroqua,Wi. It was either a 1947 or 48 model.
