I had the pleasure of watching Bennie fly some aerobatics in this plane on several occasions back in the 70's near Burlington, nc. I shall never forget the sound of that engine. A beautiful plane and a fine pilot. The good old days.

I flew 515W a number of times in the 1970s. It was owned by Capt. Bennie Walker at the time. ( Piedmont Airlines) Bennie had the aircraft completely rebuilt. 15W was based in several places in N.C. Was a lovely flying airplane and very light on the controls. In a mock dogfight with a stock PT-17, The Stearman was very embarassed. If my memory serves me correctly, This was a Swiss built aircraft. Gail Dow 22Jun06
