This aircraft was built as C-47A 42-24337 and delivered to USAAF on 9/6/43. Ten days later it was transferred to the RCAF as Dakota TT.3 s/n 660. No historical details available until June 1968 when unification of Canadian Armed Forces gave it a new serial number of 12941. In March 1975 the plane was with No. 429 Sqdn at Saskatoon. When the plane was declared surplus it was supposed to be sold to Champlin Petroleum but the sale was not proceeded with, even though it was registered as C-GWXP. In August 1977 the plane went to Sharvas Investments of Denver, CO registered as N64767. June 1979 saw a transfer of the plane to Weldcraft Steel & Marine, Inc of Bellingham, WA. In Dec. 1979 the plane was acquired by its current owner, Environmental Aviation Services, at the time being in Belle Glades, FL. (Info from Arthur Pearcy's "Douglas DC-3 Survivors.")
