Aircraft was stolen by two 14 year old boys, one was the son of the owner.
The plane was taken for purposes of "running away to Mexico" before running out of fuel and crashing in Joshua Tree Nat'l Park.
Plane apparently suffered minor damage due to landing in soft/sandy terrain. Boys walked away. LG & Prop are damaged, at minimum.
