Aircraft actually crashed at about 3:40PM. S & R was not begun until after 9PM local time. One needs to ask why S & R was not begun until 6 hours after loss of contact with pilot occurred.

N666AC crashed Wednesday afternoon April 11,2007 in Caswell County N.C. near the Virginia border. Danny Alvis lifted off Wednesday afternoon from Pilot's Ridge airstrip in Wilmington N.C. in his Seawind 3000 amphibious aircraft to pick up a guest in Danville Va. for his local radio show. Radar contact was lost at 4:21pm. CAP spotted the wreckage Thursday morning . 1 Fatal.

N666AC Crashed on Wednesday April 11th, 2007 near the Virginia border with North Carolina. The pilot Danny Alvis of Wilmigton, N.C. was killed.
