Built as a T-28B for the USN, Bu 138232 but transferred to the Royal Thai AF as 55-138232. Rebuilt as an AT-28D for the Royal Laos AF as 38232, and later 3416. Derelict at Thong Hi Hin AB, Xiang Khoang, Laos from 1975-1988. Recovered, transferred to Bangkok & shipped to Australia, December 1988. Stored at Essendon 1988-91. To Darwin for restoration, registered VH-DPT on 14 Jan 1993. First flight, at Darwin, 26 Jan 1993.
