I spoke with the owner today (15 Dec. 2005) at SZP. He has painted out the Mexican registration XB-IJU after having the aircraft down there a couple of years and is remarking it with the original USA FAA registration of N3042M. I did not take a new picture because the new numbers are not on yet.
This aircraft has a Lycoming O-360 180 Hp engine installed under field approval, lengthened wingspan with straight tips and carries 61 gallons of fuel. The aircraft is normally operated WITHOUT the engine cowling as shown for better cooling. Usage such as banner towing at high power levels requires the extra cooling.
