93E flying east in the Calif central valley. This must have been the type of day Aeronca had in mind when they built the Champ.All the ingredients for a fantastic flight were in place this day!! It was unadulterated flying at its best.

N2593E @ Q59 - 93E in the setting sun at the Fremont airport . Mission Peak is above 93E .It is well known to glider pilots of the 1960-92 era.Seldom flew by without seeing 2-3 gliders circling and working ridge lift.In strong winds,could easily soar in a TCraft. - by S B J

N2593E @ WVI - 93E on short final at the 20th annual Watsonville West Coast flyin.In the 70s&80s the plane enthusiast just didnt miss the Watsonville flyin on Memorial Day weekend and the Merced flyin the following weekend.Many long distance antiquers did both. - by S B J
