48Z at the Cottonwood Landing airport right next to the Colorado river. This super neat airport is now closed. Again the environmentalists (National Recreation Area) won out over us pilots!

N5248Z - 48Z looking a little lonely on Silver lake which is several miles from Baker,Calif.Silver Lake was used as a WWII training base as seen in the 0O2 (Baker,Ca) picture. Many airplanes preceded 48Z landing on Sliver Lake and once saw a C130 do a touch and go - by S B J
