78E near Seattle,Wa. flying south on the way back home to Calif. after a year at Port Townsend,Wa. 78E always seemed to fly better and faster when heading home.

N9078E - 78E & Champ 93E doing 360s (8K feet level) to gain altitude needed to get over the Sierras. Aeroncas are very good planes, but with 65hp, they are not eager climbers. There was not any lift from Mother Nature so the Aeroncas had to do it on their own. - by S B J
