Aircraft N9078E Photo

N9078E, 1946 Aeronca 11AC Chief, C/N: 11AC-710
78E on short final at the Fremont airport(Calif) flying over broken cement (was never removed when the airport was built) which discouraged landing short! Over the years, several planes tried without much success like a C150 on 3-1-75.

N9078E @ Q59 - 78E in slip configuration. The slip is something the chief is extremly good at. It has excellent rudder and aileron control. - by S B J

N9078E - The view from 78E. Pretty tall mountains when you only have 65hp up front. The high peaks are around 12 thousand feet. With (abundance of) patience,a good Chief will take you any place you care to go.Must be why they have a 5 hour fuel supply. - by S B J
