N87T 1942 Douglas DC3C-S1C3G (C-47), c/n 6148
Now sad and faded, without engines and hemmed in by unemployed Four Star Cargo Skytrains, this former Tol-Air aircraft awaits the scrapman.
N138FS 1942 Douglas DC-3C, c/n 9967
Alas, Four Star Cargo is no more; this poor DC-3 is acquiring a coat of mold. At least she is much better shape than the unfortunate birds in the background.
N131FS 1944 Douglas C-47B-25-DK, c/n 16172/32920
Alas, Four Star Cargo is no more; this poor DC-3 is acquiring a coat of mold. At least she is much better shape than the unfortunate birds in the background.
N1304 Luscombe 8, c/n 800
, Teterboro Airport , 2012-03-10
Apparently, a rudder is all that's left of this erstwhile Luscombe Silvaire. It's on display at the Aviation Hall of Fame of New Jersey.
N6571V 1969 Bellanca 17-30, c/n 30246
, N75 , 2012-04-07
Perhaps this is the only aircraft that hasn't been moved over the past four years, though with the ugly blue top gone, there is more of this forlorn bird to see.
N2550W 1965 Mooney M20C Ranger, c/n 3264
, N75 , 2012-04-07
Without its engine and teetering on its main gear, this Mooney Ranger definitely looks much worse for the wear since I saw her last four years ago, before she was moved - or rather dumped - on the front lot of the old Twin Pine Airport, which is slowly be
N3089L 1965 Cessna 310J, c/n 310J0089
, N75 , 2012-04-07
Three years after I saw her last, this Cessna 310 has been moved to the front of the Twin Pine "terminal" and, in the process, been transformed into a taildragger. Twin Pine is no more, its turf runways making way for sports fields and parking lots.
N8274J 1979 Varga 2150A Kachina, c/n VAC-120-79
, N75 , 2012-04-07
Three years after I spotted this aircraft, it had been moved to the front of the airport and unceremoniously dumped there, looking even more ragged than before.
N64094 1975 Cessna 172M, c/n 17265014
With flattened tires and a missing nosewheel, this poor Skyhawk looks like she has been sitting on this weed-choked lot for a while.
N1UN 1967 Beech 65-88 Queen Air, c/n LP-45
With an engine missing and flattened tires, this poor guy has obviously occupied this parking spot for a long time.
N4975L 1967 Piper PA-28-180, c/n 28-4349
A few years after I saw this aircraft last, it had been moved to another area of the airport; however, she still remains mired in a sea of tall grass and deer ticks.
N32179 1942 Waco UPF-7, c/n 5811
, N75 , 2012-04-07
This 1942 aircraft seemed to have had hopes of restoration and taking to the skies again. However, both the airport and the aircraft were abandoned and forgotten.
