Aircraft N9078E, 78E & Champ 93E doing 360s (8K feet level) to gain altitude needed to get over the Sierras. Aeroncas are very good planes, but with 65hp, they are not eager climbers. There was not any lift from Mother Nature so the Aeroncas had to do it on their own., photo by S B J

Aircraft N2593E, 93E in the setting sun at the Fremont airport . Mission Peak is above 93E .It is well known to glider pilots of the 1960-92 era.Seldom flew by without seeing 2-3 gliders circling and working ridge lift.In strong winds,could easily soar in a TCraft., at Q59, photo by S B J

Aircraft N757KV, 7KV at the Fremont airport in Calif. around 1983 when the airport was a little wet. It is the red & white 152.It was exported to Mexico in 2005.That large hill you see is a landfill (garbage) facility.It was a Fremont airport landmark., at Q59, photo by S B J

Aircraft N30472, One of the many floods at the Fremont airport in Calif. Water receded quickly and was not SF Bay water. 472 was a rental which I flew for an hour or two. That small building was the flight school.Many great flights were made inside it both real & imagined, at Q59, photo by S B J
