N84347 @ KWVI - 347 seen taxiing out for departure at the Watsonville airshow. My aim was Tcraft 689 lifting off but Cessna 347 got in the way.No problem-besides,my frist Wat flyin was in a C172 and last Wat flyin was in a Tcraft. Interesting!?

N5248Z - 48Z at Cottonwood Landing airport (only a dirt runway )in 1986.This fantastic strip was closed in 92.It did not fit in with the National Recreation Area.That is the Colorado river in top picture.Naturally,recreation did not mean airplanes.

N18602 - Not sure which Clipper this engine is on,but it is my dad at Treasure Island (SF Bay) when he worked for Pan Am as a mechanic.Pic was when a well known magazine doing an article on Pan Am, asked my dad to pose for it.

N9078E - 78E & Champ 93E doing 360s (8K feet level) to gain altitude needed to get over the Sierras. Aeroncas are very good planes, but with 65hp, they are not eager climbers. There was not any lift from Mother Nature so the Aeroncas had to do it on their own.

N2593E @ Q59 - 93E in the setting sun at the Fremont airport . Mission Peak is above 93E .It is well known to glider pilots of the 1960-92 era.Seldom flew by without seeing 2-3 gliders circling and working ridge lift.In strong winds,could easily soar in a TCraft.
