N43420		 N1024E - One of the less appealing paint jobs I have seen on a champ.Looked at it for the two years Fred in 24E and I flew around Calif.It was something to see 24E do a loop. When flying my Tcraft,I could dial way back and saved a lot of gas.
N1024E		 N9078E @ SQL - 78E at San Carlos,Ca airport in 1960. Notice the rear of wingtip(the repair).My dad learned that the Chief needs some attention when landing.

N9078E @ Q59 - 78E on short final at the Fremont airport(Calif) flying over broken cement (was never removed when the airport was built) which discouraged landing short! Over the years,several planes tried without much success like a C150 on 3-1-75.

N65M @ O37		 N9078E - The view from 78E. Pretty tall mountains when you only have 65hp up front. The high peaks are around 12 thousand feet.With (abundance of) patience,a good Chief will take you any place you care to go.Must be why they have a 5 hour fuel supply.

N3368E		 N42918 - With a tricky maneuver and superior flying,918 was able to get on my tail! Fortunately for me, this was not WWI or WWII. View is to the SW and not far from SJC. Fremont airport seen at very bottom of picture on the right side.
