This Hawker Hind was delivered as new to the Royal Afghan Air Force in 1938 and continued in use until the 1950s. From Afghanistan was transfered by road in 1970 by shuttleworth and Ford Motor Company, and after four weeks arrived to England. Restoration followed and the Hind flew again on 17 August 1981, resplendent in Afghan Air Force marking. In 1985 was painted to No 15 Squadron "K5414" and is owned by Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden.
