Known as the Tornado Nightfox, this aircraft served as a Technology Demonstrator operated by the Strike Attack Operational Evaluation Unit (SAOEU) at Boscombe Down. It was heavily modified from Tornado GR.1A standard to develop FLIR tactics ahead of the introduction of the Tornado GR.4 variant.
