Gravelly Valley Airport, This picture shows the road that crosses the south end of runway.While there are stop signs,vehicles do not always stop.Landing, a pilot should be prepared for this!!Seen more then one pilot startled when a car appeared when landing.

- Camping at Lake Pillsbury,Ca in 1992. The wonderful C172 made this (bring Honda) possible.There are a lot of miles of dirt road to explore around the lake and to the top of Mt Hull. - by S B J

- Looking at Gravelly Valley airport from the north to the south.The top of Hull Mt.(6873 feet) is seen on the right.The elevation of 1Q5 is 1900 feet. The fire watch building burned down in 1992. - by S B J

- Right down the runway to the north and several visiting aircraft which included a Cessna 310. This 310 pilot put on a little airshow which was very impressive to say the least! Notice pickup crossing runway so be prepared when landing for this possibility - by S B J

- N39932 at Lake Pillsbury in 1991. View is to the north and down the runway. Most pilots take off in the opposite direction toward the lake to avoid the higher terrain. Notice driftwood near 932 which is from high water. - by S B J
