TriPacer 71P seen as it begins its takeoff from runway 30. On the left of 71P is a salt pile which helped in poor vis. and next to it is the historic Howard Hughes Mining Barge I. It was in the Redwood City harbor in the mid 80s.View SE.

 -  1960-61 small building(2 cars in front)near the beginning of runway 12, was the airport office.Harpers Ferry was to be offices,restaurant and marina but never finished. Hap Harper was the FBO/Cessna dealer(big hangar near freeway).View is to the south.  - by S B J

 - View one would have taxiing out from the west side to runway 30. Did this for several years in the 80s. View is to the south. Other then the summertime crosswinds,San Carlos was a nice airport and in the mid 80s had some good tower people. - by S B J
