San Carlos Airport, Top picture is view to the east and the main reporting point when flying in from that direction, which is the cement plant . I reported over it many times.This pic also shows the amazing Howard Hughes Mining Barge I which was there in the mid 80s.

- View one would have taxiing out from the west side to runway 30. Did this for several years in the 80s. View is to the south. Other then the summertime crosswinds,San Carlos was a nice airport and in the mid 80s had some good tower people. - by S B J

- TriPacer 71P seen as it begins its takeoff from runway 30. On the left of 71P is a salt pile which helped in poor vis. and next to it is the historic Howard Hughes Mining Barge I. It was in the Redwood City harbor in the mid 80s.View SE. - by S B J
