Runway End Identifier Light at the RWY 28 threshold, one of the two flashing white lights at each end of the runway at the closed Vaerloese Air Base in Denmark. The lights were removed shortly afterwards.

Runway 28 at the abandoned Vaerloese Air Base in Denmark. The Air Base opened as a grass airfield in 1934. The concrete runway was built in 1952-1953. Vaerloese Air Base closed in 2004.

3 de Havilland DHC-1 Chipmunks at a small 3-plane airshow at the former Vaerloese Air Base in Denmark (OY-ATF, -AVF, -ALD). This was the first time aircraft landed at the airfield since the location became a civilian area.

Hangar 6 at the former Vaerloese Air Base in Denmark. This hangar was built in 1942 and was used by German Luftwaffe 1942-1945. 1946-2008 used by Danish Air Force for major aircraft overhauls. Today the hangar is used as a film studio.
