074, Redding Sky Ranch in Redding,Calif. Was a small friendly airport with a somewhat challenging (C170 Accident 7-13-74) runway, with trees on both sides and a trailer park at the very end.Was satisfying when you made a good approach and landing.View is South., photo by S B J

KWVI, N43689 being directed to the runway at the end of the Watsonville airshow. Was fun to watch the aircraft jam up when an airshow is over. Never understood why the big hurry to leave? Did move a lot of planes out quickly as takeoffs only helped., photo by S B J

Q59, Fremont airport ,Calif. Picture is two years after closure. For such an active airport it was remarkable safe. There was several accidents, but only one was a fatal (8-8-75) and was due to a mechanical issue.Fremont had a lot of good pilots and instructors., photo by S B J
