This serial was actually carried by two different aircraft. The original 55-293 was MSN 219 that was built for USAF. However, this USAF serial number was transferred to a Convair 440-79 (MSN 316) that was operated by General Dynamics as N8436H. The second 55-293 (MSN 316) was N8436H before going to USAF. Plane is now on display at Selfridge ANGB Museum, Michigan.
The original 55-293 (MSN 219) was sold to Saudi Arabian Airlines as a Convair 340-79 HZ-AAZ. MSN 219 was written off Jul 8, 1968 in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia while operating for Saudia as HZ-AAZ.
