My father (Maxon Anderson) purchased this plane when I was a teenage girl around 1964 or 65. If the wings have not been replaced I sewed the fabric with my father standing over me when I was 14 or 15 years old. I remember when he brought the plane home on a trailer in pieces. I don't know how any of us got any sleep for the 3 years he was rebuilding the plane in our basement, garage and at the airport. He loved that plane, but due to a bad heart he was grounded.
It's really a shame, my son (his grandson) is now a Colonel in the Air Force, flying F16's. He's a graduate of "Fighter Weapons School" and would have loved to have flown (or owned) dad's plane.
I'm so pleased to see it's flying again.
