Two passengers and a pilot walked away without injury after a float plane flipped over while trying to take off from Powell Lake on Saturday, July 24.
....the 59-year-old pilot out of Vancouver was attempting to taxi the plane away from Powell Lake Marina just after 4 pm, according to an RCMP news release. A gust of wind went under the tail section of the plane and lifted the back end of the aircraft. As the propellor hit the water it dug in and flipped the entire plane. (Powell River Peak)
