This plane was built as C-47A 42-100521, delivered to the USAAF on 11/2/43. Assigned to Europe with the U.S. 8th A.F. on 1/7/44. Returned to USA on 7/22/45, and went to Reconstruction Finance Corp on 10/22/45. On 6/5/47 the plane was registered NC65384 with Northeast Airlines. 4/26/48 the plane went to Piedmont Aviation as N45V. To Charlotte Aircraft Inc on 2/28/62, and then on 3/5/63 it was delivered to the French Aeronavale with 56S Escadrille. On 9/12/85 Basler Flight Services of Oshkosh, WI acquired the plane and ferried it registered as N98BF. After passing through another owner, the plane was registered as N308SF in December 1985, with Skyfreighters Corporation in Texas.
