 - Fremont airport ,Calif. Picture is two years after closure. For such an active airport it was remarkable safe. There was several accidents, but only one was a fatal (8-8-75) and was due to a mechanical issue.Fremont had a lot of good pilots and instructors. - by S B J

 - Fremont airport,Calif. soon after its 1986 closure.Due to the short closure notice and removal of planes and hangars, there were some angry owners. An X on a runway, I have seen to many in my time. View is east. - by S B J

 - Fremont airport in Calif. which was closed in 1986, for 2-3 days a year, went from land based planes to seaplanes. This is one such time. My logbook shows two floods in 1983 (one in Feb and March)which is the only time that happened. - by S B J

 - Fremont,Ca airport ground view after closing. While it happened many times in many places, this was my frist experience with a dying airport.Very sad after a enjoyable 15 year relationship. View is to the north and down tiedown row. - by S B J
