 @ Gravelly Valley Airport - Lake Pillsbury looking west. Because of the mountainous terrain,1Q5 is not pilot friendly when windy. A 25 kt wind contributed to a fatal C172 accident on 5-8-82. At one time there was a cross wind runway which could have helped this unfortunate pilot. - by S B J

 @ Westover Field Amador County Airport - The two planes on the side of the big hangar near segmented circle(C172 on-6/5/77),were both in landing accidents.This happened often on the short runway,especially in the summer. If you learned to fly at JAQ on the short runway,you learned well. - by S B J

 @ San Carlos Airport -  1960-61 small building(2 cars in front)near the beginning of runway 12, was the airport office.Harpers Ferry was to be offices,restaurant and marina but never finished. Hap Harper was the FBO/Cessna dealer(big hangar near freeway).View is to the south.  - by S B J

 @ Half Moon Bay Airport - Half Moon Bay airport in 1976 looking south. Notice the half moon shape water south of airport.Princeton at south end of airport (aircraft parking) is a very nice place to visit & eat at.Was my home base for six months till summer fog became untenable!! - by S B J
