@ Gravelly Valley Airport - N39932 at Lake Pillsbury in 1991. View is to the north and down the runway. Most pilots take off in the opposite direction toward the lake to avoid the higher terrain. Notice driftwood near 932 which is from high water. - by S B J

@ Rome State Airport - N3368E at desolate Rome State airport in Oregon. Notice the Vortac in the distance .This is in a very (near) active low level MOA, a lot of low fast movers. 68E flew from Parma,Id. to Tracy,Ca. this day, but it did take 8.3 hours. - by S B J
