Extensive hangars on east side of 18-36. In 1965 there were only a few year-around tiedowns east of Rwy 18-36 and 18-36 was 5,950 ft by 100 ft then. Is shorter now at 4,855 ft. by 100 ft.

Minnesota Air Traffic Control Tower.When I learned to fly here in 1965/66 there was no tower. I unexpectedly soloed at -11F temperature here from the crosswind runway. Good lift?-in spades!!
